The Game Setup

Summary: BornToDieGame Season 1 is set up across 5 parallel universes and different modes of gameplay (Mission Mode, PvP, and Battleground). Gamers fight the environment and each other to mine NFTs which will unlock more challenges and next season.

The Background

The story is set in the metaverse and in the current time/year, called ZetaVerse. The world is going through a pandemic. All living beings are in danger of extinction. The pandemic has been going on for a few years, and the community has not found any cure for the disease. Most of humanity has given up hope and has resigned to fate. There is a common saying: We are just "Born To Die".

In this chaos, comes a glimmer of hope. Scientists have finally found the genesis of the disease. It all started 10,000 years ago during the ancient civilization of MesoVerse. The disease started in a small village, and everyone in that village got infected and died eventually. However, with time, all the bodies got buried deep and the village was lost with time. In a project 10 years back, the company drilled a hole deep into the ground, accidentally digging into the corpses and the lost village. That event also unlocked the disease and has spread across the world since then.

There is only one way to save Humanity and all other living beings. Travel 10,000 years back in time, and destroy the source of the disease. However, there are many challenges, and more importantly, people have given up.

Will Heroes rise, overcome these challenges, and save humanity?

P.S.: There are many surprises in store.

The Story

It has been found that the key to time travel is hidden in a portal key. The mission of the game is to find this portal key and unlock time travel. However, it is easier said than done. There are three main challenges:

1. The portal key is not a single piece. It is rather a combination of different elements, gems, and rare earth metals. When combined together, it unlocks the portal and the path. No one knows what these different elements, gems, or rare earth metals are. No one knows, how they look. More importantly, to get all the components together, Heroes have to travel across 5 parallel universes/earth and recover them.

2. Traveling to parallel universes is possible through teleportation. On each parallel earth, the teleportation capsule has been captured by mafia/underworld kingpin/queen. Anyone who will have access to time travel will rule over all the universes. The Mafia/underworld Boss wants all the power and control to themself. They have built an army of Generals, Majors, and Soldiers guarding the access. Heroes have to fight thru this army, to get to the teleportation capsule.

3. Some of the components of the portal key can be found while fighting thru the army. The soldiers/captains/majors have got access to these, as they have killed/defeated other Heroes who attempted to reach the teleportation capsule. Some other components are still with other heroes and it was to be won in PvP battles.

The Gameplay

There are 3 different types of mining/progress needed. These can be done by a single gamer/hero, or collaborate with other gamers to move forward in the mission.

1. Heroes - As Heroes progress thru the armies, they need to keep upgrading themselves and level up. The mafia boss army gets increasingly tougher and more difficult to kill and move thru.

2. NFTs - Increasingly, higher levels of weapons are needed as they progress thru the armies. The weapons can be upgraded by minting NFTs and upgrading their weapons in the forge. There are different forgeries, with different levels of weapons being made.

3. Portal Keys - What are the actual components of portal keys are not known. Some of these components can also be used in upgrading their Heroes/weapons. Different experiments and combinations are done in the jewelers (to be replaced with a better term). The components have be to forged in a particular order to get the portal key. This is the biggest unknown and leads to variable rewards.

Different factions and groups have been formed who are collaborating with each other, and want to be the first ones to get the portal. These groups may share the knowledge or may share wrong information to mislead others from the mission.

There is also a surprise awaiting. Different factions and groups outside of the game are joining the race to find the portal key. (Apes, Cats, and Dogs are also joining the hunt. Whoever, gets the portal key first, might get to rule the universes.)
